There was a lot of green this week. I always thought blue was my favourite colour, I love blue sky and the blue sea. But now that my runs don’t involve running to or along the coast, I’m beginning to appreciate the greenery more than I have before. The UK countryside is BEAUTIFUL.
One good thing to come out of this lockdown is how much people are getting to know their hometowns. Learning new little short cuts and finding new, easy-to-get-to, bits of nature that had been neglected in favour of the more obviously stunning places.
In other news, I’ve been enjoying a new training programme this week too – I wrote about it here. I’ve been getting to know myself a whole lot better recently. Turning inwards and realising that all the strength I could ever need is there. I’ve been learning about moon cycles, surrender to a higher power, and how the ego lets feelings control your mind and your life. Not sure where I stand with it all yet but hopefully I’ll write about it in the not too distant future!
A good porridge bowl obviously made an appearance and pasties were probably one of the best things to come out of this week. On a food note, we’re getting fish and chips tonight and I can’t WAIT. Anyone else like to treat themselves to some good food on the weekend? What ya having?!
