I can’t believe I’ve been doing this project for over four weeks now. We’ve been in lockdown now for over seven weeks, which I never foresaw back in March!
This week I tried to bring play back into exercise. I was taking the fun out of it by focusing on speed and distance, but I think I’ve finally found a training schedule that works for me (post to follow!) and it involved climbing trees and exploring new areas. I paid more attention to the nature and colours around me, which meant a few scenery shots this week!
A painted stone in the wall by the gate in one of the pictures above made my heart warm. It says ‘keep going’ and definitely helped me to keep running, as well as feel immense gratitude for random acts of kindness happing these days.
The New Internationalist magazine delivery meant many hours filled learning about what’s going on in the world, with lots of really varied and well-balanced pieces about air pollution this week. Nice to read some global affairs after largely ignoring mainstream news at the moment. I find it’s full of fear and drama.
And, obviously, we have a few more porridge pics. Breakfast never gets old. Especially breakfast in bed.
Hope you’re all doing well and are finding some little moments to appreciate. Lots of love x
